ibyana Net now available for all Libyana employees, last rumor that they will distribute Libyana Net USB modem in September. now I've been testing this service for the second day, in different location in Tripoli, the device works with Windows 2000 / XP / Vista for Windows 7 not tested yet.
Libyana Net USB modem support: SMS service, Data service, Phone book.
Easy installation process just connect the modem to your PC and the application software will launch automatically.

Lets take a look at the interface of Libyana Net and the functional button.

the device works with two network. UMTS or GPRS and you have two option to use Automatically select the network according to the network status or Manual network settings. By default it comes Automatic & UMTS preferred.

Speed Test Facts : Libyana said that the speed will reach 3.6Mbps but hey it's not HSDPA, It's just UMTS..
as you can see the transfer rate was about 148 Kb/s but the max was about 160 kb/s if I multiple it with 8, will get 1280 Kbps and not as Libyana claims. in fact if you were in GPRS network instead of UMTS, you will be lucky if you got the speed of 56 kbps, it's like dial-up modem.

Finally, Wimax is still better in the level of speed till now but Both not working on the normal load. only with small number of users. we don't know the price of Libyana Net but it should more cheaper than Wimax & Adsl, or it's worthless to buy it.

Update 14-Aug-2009 : failed to install the driver on Windows 7 .. am I the only one who face such an issue?

في الحقيقة لماذا تريد الشركة الدفع مقدم والاشتراك لمدة سنة،؟
الشركة تضع شروط تعفيها من اي مسئولية تلزمها بأي شيء في حال توقف الخدمة لأي من الاسباب؟
الشركة ايضا اتجاه وكلاءها غيرت سياستها .. اي على كل وكيل أن يشتري المعدات هذه المرة غريب؟؟؟
في كل هوائي تم تركيبه داخل مدينة طرابلس او ضواحيها لا يسع الا لخدمة 20 ميقا بت في الثانية وكل هوائي لا يتسع الا لعشر مستخدمين بحصة 2 ميقا بت في الثانية .. فتخيل اذا زاد عدد المشتركين عن عشرة مشتركين كيف ستكون سرعة الاتصال؟؟
خدمة واي ماكس لم تستعمل الا في حالة اعصار تسونامي واعصار كاترينا والمعروف انه خدمة واي ماكس لديها عيوب

فاذا كانت شركة ليبيا الإتصال تنوي التلاعب وتجميع اكبر قدر ممكن من أول الشعب الذي سيلهت وراء خدمة اسرع من الانترنت عن طريق الخط الريفي الذي هو ايضا خرج كحل بعد عدة من الاعاصير والزلازل التي اجتاحت مدينة طرابلس من إزالة لشوارع وبطء في اعادة تطوير اي منطقة .
الأن واي ماكس ولكن الحقيقة المرة كيف ستتعامل الشركة مع عدد المستخدمين لكل هوائي .. والمحدودية التي تفرضها تقنية واي ماكس.
سيتجه مهندسون والمسؤلين على خدمة واي ماكس بالبحث عن وسائل أو تلفيقات يضيفوها للخدمة ربما ..

ختاماً :
لا أنصح اي شخص ان يشترك في خدمة ستصبح بعد شهر او شهرين بطئية للغاية لأني كل هوائي يستطيع تزويد ب 20 ميقا بت في الثانية ولعشرة مستخدمين موزعة عليهم الخدمة كما يقولون 2 ميقا ولكن في الحقيقة السرعة التي ستحصل عليها بعد ذلك ستكون اقل من سرعة ال

I've been using Windows Vista one year ago, I started with Vista RC1 and it was very hard on me to adapt myself using a new Beta software Windows Vista and Office 2007, but since the final release shows up this year I moved too, and I learned lots of things in Vista and so many programs now support this new operating system. But I found out that Microsoft lies or I can say it in other term that you can't run Windows Vista running 512 M Of Ram, of course you need at least 512 Mb of memory to install Vista but you can run Vista machine normally. even if you have 1024 Mb of memory it's not enough. So why I'm back using Windows XP on my main machine... that's because I finally realized that I need a super machine with VGA Cards PCI express 16x bit and more of memory up to 4 Gb ... or I have to turn back to one year ago and install a fresh windows XP. and I'm happy with that cause Windows XP can do anything for me like Vista does.. and for more interesting things, the new feature that will come with SP3, I read an article about "Windows XP SP3 to Include Some Vista Features" another one that reveal New Features Discovered in Windows XP SP3: Is It Better Than Vista?
SO I'm Windows XP user until further notice

There is always a solution and since many people asked what if one day we found out that Blogger is gone.What a disaster will be, Back up is always very important to keep yourself safe.
here is some tips on how to do that.
Blogger Help page provide us a method to backup the entire blog in one single page but the instruction there, wasn't easy for a user don't know so much on how to edit html code or not familiar with it.

Is there any way to crack windows Vista after the final release that will be next Monday.
I took the challenge and upgrade my main machine to Windows Vista started by Vista RC1 then RC2 and finally RTM versions(Release To Manufacturer)the strange thing in how to Crack RTM version amazed me and let me believe that we will hear that crackers would be able to gives us Windows Vista Cracked.
here's some preview on how to they use RC2 & RC1 files to crack Windows Vista RTM (Release To Manufacturer).
First of all you need these files from your previous version of Vista RC1 or RC2 to use. "pkeyconfig.xrm-ms, tokens.dat"

-----STEP 1-----

Take Ownership And Full Control Of File: pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
C:Windows\System32\Licensingpkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms

Right-click pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
select Properties
Go to the Security tab and click the 'Advanced' button
Go to the 'Owner' tab and click the 'Edit' button
Select 'Administrators' and click 'Apply' button
You have now taken 'Ownership' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows

Right-click pkeyconfig.xrm-ms again
select Properties
Go to the Security tab again, click the Advanced button
Now Press Edit, then double-click 'Administrators' in the list and tick the 'allow'
box for 'Full control'
You have now taken 'Full control' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows again

Now you can Replace the file:
c:Windows\System32\Licensingpkeyconfig\pkeyconfig.xrm-ms
With RC2 One

-----STEP 2-----

Stop The Service 'Software Licensing'
Click Start And Type In The Search Bar 'services.msc' (without quotes) And Press Enter
Find 'Software Licensing' in list view
Right-click on 'Software Licensing' and click the stop - then press yes

-----STEP 3-----

Take Ownership And Full Control Of File: tokens.dat

C:/Windows/ServiceProfiles/NetworkService/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/SoftwareLicensing/tokens.dat

they hide Appdata - so you will need to type it in the address bar.

you will have to press continue twice to confirm that you want to get to these directories.

Right-click tokens.dat
select Properties

Go to the Security tab and click the 'Advanced' button

Go to the 'Owner' tab and click the 'Edit' button + Continue

Select 'Administrators' and click 'Apply' button + Press OK

You have now taken 'Ownership' of the file, as Windows will point out to you

Close the property windows

Right-click tokens.dat again

select Properties

Go to the Security tab again, click the Advanced button

Now double-click 'Administrators' in the list and tick the 'allow' box for 'Full control' (did I forget to say Press Edit ?)

You have now taken 'Full control' of the file, as Windows will point out to you
Close the property windows again

Now you can Replace The File:
C:/Windows/ServiceProfiles/NetworkService/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/SoftwareLicensing/tokens.dat
With RC2 One

Turn on Services in Step 2

-----STEP 4-----

Disconnect the internet and

REBOOT Computer

Click Start And Type In The Search Bar “slui” (without quotes) and Press Enter
This will Take You Straight To The Activation Window Where You Can TYPE Your RC1 Or RC2 Key To Activate It!
Windows will be a little slow, it might say not responding, but within 1 minute you will have it activated

your copy will be genuine forever, because it doesn't have
the beta files that tell it to expire.

Tested and working 100% in another machine.

Another Questions:
Windows Vista is it wroth it? Do you intend to upgrade to Vista? Vista does have its advantages such as bitlocker, elevated privledges, greater GPO options, dynamic searching capabilities, complete machine imaging via ISO, built in DVD/CD writing... etc.
But many of you and I'm sure will prefer to stay away from Vista as possible, Id like to tell you that Vista will definitely change the landscape of the Network OS in several ways and you'll upgrade to it soon.

Windows Vista SP1 from APCMag.com intend to test SP1 for release second half of 07.
So who will rush out to upgrade?

First of All my apologies for not updating in ages.
This I want to talk about surfing the net using "Adsl Libya" the only high speed service providing by LTT for Home users. many people complain that some sites won't open or won't be able to view their favorites sites. that because they were restricted by network admin in LTT the First and the only ISP provider in Libya.

Solution, proxy servers but as we all know not all of them are secure to use.so the best application ever I found for this is TOR because in what I believe how it works:
"sends your packets through a series of onion routers, at each hop the sender’s IP is changed to that of the Onion router, this has the effect that the next onion router only has the address of it’s predecessor and successor- thus after a few hops your IP is no longer visible to not only the TOR nodes but ultimately the destination address"
so Tor can prevent you from being monitored by your network admin, as I know in the security level at LTT, they may notice that you are using Tor but they won't be able to know what you are using Tor for. Tor is a bit slower than normal method or surfing internet normally as your connection going through Tor servers, and it is also more better while in Adsl Libya we have only 5 gigs of bandwidth Tor can reduce it.
You can use Tor to tunnel your MSN/AIM/Yahoo/etc messenger traffic. specially Yahoo messenger because many problem comes with Libya Adsl and Yahoo messenger, sometimes you can't log in and I use Tor for that.
My Advice for you to use TOR and Live ;)
and here how you download Tor and use it.

For Firefox users:
Download Tor& privoxy package from here
it comes with Firefox's button as you see here, you can just enable this button or disable Tor through it.

IE MS users:Follow these steps

internet options
connections tab
settings button
tick the ‘use a proxy server for this…’ box
enter the 127.0.0.1 for the address or"Localhost"
enter 8118 for the port

Tor with Yahoo messenger:
your connection preference must be look like the setting above.

Some users will prefer to use another Browser more secure and comes in with Tor already included it's a Torpark Browser very pretty nice tools for some advanced uses who want to be more secure.

I'm luck enough, in new move and not expected from Microsoft is making a free copies of the new Windows Vista edition the Ultimate or Business editions to any invited technical tester for beta who reported a bug to Microsoft, as Josh's Blog with more update,you can download it if you have an MSDNor TechNet Subscription.
I'm not going to download it now I will wait until I renew my subscriptions and have enough bandwidth,still making my plan repaving my machine for the second time this year not the good things I'd like to do, I hope that I can upgrade to Vista RTM another thing I want to install Office 2007 professional too, so here I go.

Of course many bloggers interested in knowing how often their blog was viewed. you need a hit counter, you can get one from statcounter.com or sitemeter.com and that's what we are going to work with, After you sign up for an account,you will have to provide a title and give the url of your blog through the steps to complete your account.
Site meter provide you new counter styles and display options for your meter, and now we will choose one.From manger page we select Meter style and pick the preferred one.
the next step is how to get html code to ad in your blog template

select "HTML Code" from the manager page of your account. On that page are instructions and the HTML code to add to your web page. we are going to select "Just get the tracking html".

as you see above select the JavaScript code and copy this code.
Final Step, Sign into Dashboard, select the relevant blog, click the TEMPLATE tab to get to the template editor to edit the template.Past this code in place where you want to appear in the side bar or you can past the codes after the <'body'> tag and before the <'/body'> tag, this section will be almost at the end of the template. Scroll down the template editor and you will see it.

How do I edit my link list? in Blogger template

To create your own links that lead to sites you want, Blogger's default templates have a link section already and that's what I'm going to explain how to Edit this section and put your own Links.
Login into blogger and from Dashboard, select the relevant blog (in case you've more than one blog) Settings.

Step1: Click Template Tab, you'll be directed to this page.

Step2: before we do any changes , we have to backup your code by choose select All >> and Copy your code and save it into text file , open Notepad and paste your code there the save the file. follow the step >>

in the recent steps we did save the default blogger's template, sometimes we need to return to it( as safety step)

Step3 "Edit": back the template edits window and look for something like this code

if you didn't find it , try to use search feature in your IE and type "Google new" and lookup, see Picture

now you can find it and you are ready for editing.

see the highlighted code, we can now replace the existed URL with your Actual Link
and description with what you want to be seen in display Links, just like I did here.

Step 4 "preview and Save":
when you complete step 1, 2, 3 , you can preview your changes and if everything was perfect you can save your template changes or you start over again by clear edits and repeat the steps exactly.

Step 5 "publish":
previewed your changes made and you get satisfaction with your side bar changes, Click Save and complete the step to publish your Blog

Remove Symantec Anti virus & Install NOD32

Tonight I removed Symantec Antivirus version 10.2.0.199 with the longest way but at least I got rid of NAV why to remove it because it has many problems and I don't need it now after NOD32 2.7 beta is available for testing.
so unfortunately Symantec used to have a cleaner for this but for me , I have to follow the longest way as I mention starting from HERE.

This procedure involves the following five steps:

* Disable Tamper Protection before you stop services.
* Close or stop Symantec AntiVirus programs.
* Stop Symantec AntiVirus services.
* Remove Symantec AntiVirus from the registry.
* Remove Symantec AntiVirus from the Start menu and from the hard drive

Well I am finished now , it's time to setup NOD32 2.7 beta. few minutes later
Done, updated and I am very very happy cause I am running all BETA

Where's My documents and setting folder in Vista?

The folder now is a thing of the past. Microsoft made a massive change to Folder layout in Windows Vista, one of these changes "documents and setting" folder now is a junction and you can find the setting in the "User" folder, what junctions are?its a link to another folder and point to that folder, in Windows XP SP2 a junction was something danger because if you delete it you will delete what it points to. what's good in Windows Vista that danger is gone, delete a junction doesn't deleted the pointed-to folder, why MS in windows Vista made this change and kept document and setting as a jucntion, to make Windows Vista handeling programs that may have the c:\Documents and Settings path hardcoded. I discovered now where's my save file games for FiFA06 and NFS Mostwanted where they are!

Vista Command prompt shows you a junction to Documents and Setting folder.

Windows Vista performance investigation I did to improve my machine performance I end up with Readyboost feature. I've faced some problems with Windows Vista in the first days of upgrading but thanks goes to folks at Microsoft.
my brother has a computer with 512 megs of RAM while my pc with 1 gigs of RAM but I regualy have alot of things runing in task manger unlike my brother , he has about 30 things runing in task manger, I pluged 1 gig USB Flash drive in his machine and use. but How much of a speed increase are we talking about?,Well according to Tom Archer's blog and ReadyBoost FAQ, that depends. Under memory pressure and heavy disk activity, the system is much more responsive; on a 4GB machine with few applications running, the ReadyBoost effect is much less noticable. it seems so nice for me and my brother too he noticed the difference with Readyboost enabled, I'm very happy with that.

I was obligated to uninstall Nero Burning Rom for compatibility reasons with Vista Rc1 and I need to burn an ISO disk image but I couldn't find anything on Vista to help me burn this disk image (ISO). I solved my problem by finding a free utility tool from TeraByteUnlimited "BurnCDCC"
it works like a charm on Vista without installing.Simply copy the BURNCDCC.EXE file to a folder on your hard drive.Create a shortcut on your Desktop or Start menu for easy access.

In the last 3 weeks I upgraded my main machine at home to Windows Vista Ultimate RC1. what was in the compatibility check actully it didn't bode well:

after complete all the upgrading steps SUCCESSED! I was very lucky that every things just work fine almost 90% of things I used to use frequently. here's a preview:

TrueCrypt works, but you have to Shift-Right-Click and Run As Administrator to get it's drivers loaded.
Having Media Center is pretty cool but I need my remote control now.
Windows Defender has agood user interface other things on the security suite stuff but you'll found yourself running around to find out where these things are.
Performance its not pretty good but I can speed it using alot of new things available on Vista, Specially Readyboost I will talk about it in another post Insh'Allah.
InfraRed Driver problem it's works fine but something happen when I shutdown my machine a blue screen appear and the whole computer restarts instead of shutdown.

That's all and I am really happy cause I didn it and this is the first time I am running all beta. Stay tuned much technical post come, specially that I am going now to install fresh installtion of Windows Vista RC2 it's already published for a beta testers and developers.

انا سعيدا جدا أنه تم وضع وصلة للمدونة على لانقا ليست .. ولقد تفجأت اليوم عندما وجدت انه عدد الزوار للمدونة لهذا اليوم فقط 299
عدد من الزوار أدهشني .. وفجأة وجدت أنه قد تم وضع لنك للمدونة في مجموعة لانقا ليست .. التي ستجدون وصلة لها بالمدونة على ناحية اليسار.
وعلما انه هذه المجموعة قد تصل عدد الزوار الى المدونة منها الى 150,000 زائر ..

اليوم وعند زيارتي لمحرك البحث قوقل وذلك لترجمة بعض المواقع الألمانية .. وجدت انا قوقل بدأت في اطلاق خدمة الترجمة من العربية الى الإنجليزية والعكس ليس هذا فقط بل من الكورية والصينية واليابانية ...سعدت كثير وعلى فكرة الخدمة لهذه اللغات مازالت تجريبية ولكن نتائجها رائعة مقارنة كبداية لها ..

فلقد قمت بتبيث هذا البرنامج على جهازي nod32 . من خلالي عملي ومن استعمالي لهذا البرنامج أستطيع القول بانه رائع بل ممتاز
وكل الأجهزة التي استعملها واجهزة العائلة الكريمة ايضا.
حتى ولو كان مجاني NOD32 or Nortonفهو ليس أفضل من Grisoft's free AVGفلو أخذنا مثلا
NOD32وهذه بعض المواقع التي استعرضت وقامت باختبار الى

ايضا كان هناك موضوع في احد المنتديات التي كنت اكتب بها .
من حوالي الشهر تصويت عن افضل برنامج مضاد للفيروسات وهذه وصلة للموضوع

مايكروسوفت صرحت أنها ستقوم باجراء عدة تحديثات على لإصلاح ما قامت به التحديثات السابقة والتي تسببت بالكثر من المشاكل للزبائن ذكرنها مسبقا
للعلم أنه الكل تعود على هذا من مايكروسوفت أخطاء انا الأول .. ولكن هذا لا يعني أني من المناهضين لمايكروسوفت لكني من حقي هذا :)

بعد اخر ترقيعات أو الباتشات الأخيرة التي كانت مهمة للمتصفح الأول لدى مايكروسوفت والمتصفح الأكثر شعبية حول العالم من حيث الإستخدام ظهرت العديد من المشاكل لدى المستخدمين.
من ضمن هذه المشاكل عدم قدرتهم على كتابة عناوين المواقع في شريط العنوان كما يأتي

لكن اتضح أنها مشكلة من اخر التحديثات التي كانت للمتصفح Spyware أول شيء فكرت به هو احتما ل وجود ملفات
